Pros
- The “surf the earth” thing is real, sort of. You do pay more attention to the course movement, slight ungulation, and your surroundings. Tough to use your phone, hit the throttle, and steer at the same time! Can make for more enjoyable golf.
- Larger stand area than I would have thought. Sandpaper like “grip tape” had plenty of grip even on a rainy Florida afternoon. I’m not sure how spiked/softspiked shoes would work.. I was wearing FJ Pro SL and had no issues FWIW.
Cons
- The learning curve is steep at first, but I found getting around on the course a lot easier than navigating the clubhouse and first-tee area.
- I had to watch a 6 minute video (you can’t skip ahead) and fill out a non-trivial release form. Totally understandable - but this can gum up the start to your round if your foresome is standing there filling out waivers on their phone.
- Can’t carry that cooler filled with # of beer that would disappoint your mother
- Horrid turn radius, maybe 1/4 that of a normal golf cart. Words don’t do it justice. See below.
