This is where GolfApp shines. Much of the reason it came to be is because we wanted to get individual Nassau games going with our friends throughout the day, even if we weren't playing in the same group.

Which games work across groups?

Only certain game formats can be played across multiple groups — the scores have to be comparable. The formats that work best:

  • Nassau (individual only, not team formats) — the classic front, back, and overall bet works perfectly across groups
  • Skins — net skins across all your groups is a great way to see where the skins fall among everyone
  • Stroke Play — works for large outings with hundreds of golfers, in teams or playing solo, just like the tour formats

If you have a few foursomes and they're all using GolfApp, get Nassau action going with all of them. Or add a net skins game to see where the skins fall amongst all 16 of you.

How it works

When you go to create a game, as long as the game format supports it, GolfApp will let you select golfers from your friends or golfers from the entire round — without limitation.

Scores update in real time across all groups. You don't need to be in the same foursome, on the same hole, or even on the same nine. Everyone enters their scores, and GolfApp handles the rest.

A few examples

  • Golf trip with 16 guys — four foursomes, each with their own games, plus a net skins game spanning all 16 players
  • Saturday game with two foursomes — individual Nassaus with friends in the other group, settled up at the 19th hole
  • Club outing or tournament — stroke play across dozens of players, with leaderboards updating as scores come in
